Village Voices was formed in 1989. It is a not-for-profit adult mixed voices community choir which performs in the Markham community and surrounding area. Village Voices is member of Choirs Ontario, SOCAN, York Region Arts Council and the Markham Arts Council. Our director, Oksana Vignan, is a talented conductor and pianist. Winter and Spring programs are presented each year. They include traditional as well as contemporary works. We also serve the community by performing in senior homes.
Oksana Vignan is a conductor, pianist, vocal coach and educator. She holds Master Degrees in Piano and Choral Conducting. Oksana is an active member of the American Choral Directors Association and currently serves as Music Director of two male choirs in the GTA: Men of Note and The Queensmen of Toronto. She also serves as a Music Director of Christ Church Anglican Stouffville music ministry.
